The power of self-love
One of the most common themes I have noticed with my hypnotherapy and coaching clients has been a lack of self-love. We might use the words ‘lack of confidence’, ‘low self-esteem’ or ‘feeling inadequate’ but this all boils down to the same thing. We somehow do not believe we are enough and this often creates protective, defensive behaviours which stop us from living life to the full.
In childhood we are often discouraged from behaviour that might seem arrogant or boastful. This might be why so many people recoil in horror at the idea of loving themselves. In reality those people who might appear brash, cocky and arrogant are unlikely to be living from a place of self-acceptance and self-belief.
