Resilience & Wellbeing Training at Work

Burnout continues to be prevalent at work, with 7/10 of workers feeling unfulfilled at work (Mental Health UK Burnout Report 2025).

Your organisation can buck that trend with the right support, education and skills.

Resilience can be learned

We all have an innate ability to handle challenges, changes and set-backs at work.

The challenge? Our brain circuitry is wired so that we often get in our own way without even realising it.

Fortunately, resilience isn't an innate strength we're born with. It's something we can all learn and grow with the right knowledge, skills and support.

My training is taught through the lens of understanding how the brain works. Once they have this knowledge, delegates can then learn a range of practical tools to understand how they're holding themselves back and learn how to recover from stress and set-backs more easily.

I offer a coaching style of training that encourages personal accountability and a framework for taking action.

What's possible?

The benefits of a more resilient and balanced workforce are far-reaching and include:

  • Greater engagement with work
  • Less imposter syndrome and more self-belief
  • A greater capacity for collaboration when problem solving
  • More energy and optimism
  • Stronger leaders and positive team dynamics grounded in psychological safety
  • Clearer thinking and improved accuracy
  • Higher levels of staff retention
  • Fewer sick days and absenteeism

In a constantly changing world, teaching your leaders and staff how to grow their resilience will ensure they're equipped for the future.

Key topics

My sessions include (but are not limited to):

  • Resilience in the Workplace
  • Wellbeing in the Workplace
  • Deep work: how to maximise your productivity and satisfaction
  • Overcoming Imposter Syndrome
  • Taming the Inner Critic

Trainings can be adapted for 1 hour, 1/2 day or full day time slots.

I've been proud to work with the GMC, The George House Trust, the Bolton GP Training scheme, Manchester School of Art at MMU, the Manchester Law Society, Hyper Island, Radii Planet Group amongst others.

As a former solicitor, I have had first-hand experience of the pressures of high workloads, competing priorities, challenging relationships and overwhelm in the workplace.

“Sally recently delivered a wellbeing, stress mgt, productivity & 'deep work' workshop to the team at my agency. Sally's knowledge, delivery and ability to make everyone feel comfortable and engaged meant that the morning was a complete success. We all came away with a better understanding of factors at play and new tools to help us in our day-to-day roles. Thanks Sally, looking forward to the next one!”

“Sally delivered a number of sessions to solicitors in an in house legal team focused on stress management and making stress your friend. Sally is a warm presenter and gave delegates individual attention. She created a comfortable environment by limiting the size of each group. She didn't pack too much into her presentation - just a few slides but with varied and interesting content. This allowed her to be flexible in her approach - to respond to questions from delegates who had different needs and to tell us about about some techniques to make an immediate difference to managing stress. Sally's background as a solicitor was really useful. She was able to talk about stresses from her own experience and you knew that she had been there. Sally was perfectly willing to work with me on what would be most useful to the delegates attending, current issues facing the team and tweaking the content after the first session. I'd really recommend Sally for this sort of introductory training on stress management.”

“The session was enlightening and if nothing else it taught me that we are all subject to the inner critic! I found the writing exercise really useful and cathartic.”

Taming Your Inner Critic Masterclass Participant

“We invited Sally to present on our GP education programme and she has proven a fantastic resource for our trainee GPs. Negotiating the complexities of patients in a sometimes difficult medico-legal climate can lead to doctor burnout, and with Sally's help, our trainees feel more confident in understanding why patients act as they do. This is critical to understanding our patients' sometimes challenging and frustrating behaviour. A real strength is her ability to engage our audience and tailor her sessions to us. She encourages deep thought and reflection in our trainees long after her sessions, and her sessions are well regarded.”

“After hearing Sally speak at Material Source about imposter syndrome, it was clear from her approachable style and language how her insights could benefit higher education students, particularly those who are about to join the design industry. Our students often struggle with confidence, as to them their work is never truly "finished," and they face intense pressure due to the deep personal investment they have in their work. Sally can effectively contextualise anxieties across various professions and tailors her approach to each talk and workshop audience. On hearing that Sally would be speaking to our students, the overwhelming response was: "I wish I had this at university." Students from across the design department attended Sally’s talk which was positively received. While the workshop was exclusive to students, their reflections have directly influenced our planning and approach for future years. The session was frequently mentioned in student tutorials, with many highlighting how it helped them recognise and manage their anxieties. I only wish every student could have this experience!”
